Relax!

*Just a quick thing before you get into this blog post, my camera charger isn't working so the photos in this post are shockingly bad as I had to take them on my iPhone. Okay, now that's over, enjoy reading!*

We all have those days, weeks or even months when we just feel stressed.
That's normal!
But it is important to make sure you leave time for yourself to just take a big breath, relax and just take a chill pill! Whether it's a relaxing bath, lounging on the sofa or doing your favourite activity.

I know that's easier said than done.

As today was absolutely boiling; 27 flipping degrees, I decided to take the day off. I mean, how often do we get boiling hot weather here in the UK? Like, once in a blue moon?
Now, I still had maths homework to do but I wasn't going to miss a chance to laze around, relax and get a tan!

So, even though I had maths homework to do, after a lot of dipping my big toe in the pool to test the temperature, I finally decided to take the final plunge and jump in the pool to have a super relaxing swim!

BEWARE : there will be a lot of use of the words 'relaxing and relax' in this post.

There is just something about sitting down with a milkshake in hand and reading a book that gets rid of any worries! It's a fab way to relax!
Currently I am reading 'Landline' by my all time favourite author 'Rainbow Rowell'.

So today, my day consisted of lounging by the pool with a drink in one hand and a book in the other.

Now you might be wondering 'Okay, Katy, I get that you had nice day but what was the point of this post exactly?'.
Well I will tell you.

I am trying to tell you that it's okay to take a break even when you have stuff to do. It's important to balance everything out.
I get that that it is hard as I struggle with it myself, but try to do little things to relax, even if it's just for two minutes, you will feel a lot better, trust me.

So hopefully I helped you a little bit and if not I hoped you enjoyed the pictures! Haha!
Now I'm going to have to go and do maths homework which I SO don't want to do right now! It's all about powering through, kids!

Toodlepip!

Tanya Burr Lipgloss Review

As you all may know, YouTube has become an incredibly massive thing. It's taken over the world! Okay, maybe not that far but it certainly has a large following, let's be real here.

Recently, YouTube as been increasing in popularity, more and more. This has lead to more demands, which has then lead to a lot of Youtubers writing their own book, customising a clothing line and even create their own beauty line.
Today we are going to focus on one particular Youtuber's beauty line, the lipgloss in particular.
Tanya Burr Cosmetics.

I'm going to first tell you all that I love Tanya, I think she's so lovely and deserves every inch of success that she has got. So please don't think of this blog post as hate, because it's not. It's simply me sharing my opinion on something to help all of you. Okay, on with the review!

I had been searching for one specific Tanya Burr lipgloss for around six months, and after a lot of careful scouring in multiple different superdrugs, finally on a trip to Birmingham I found 'Afternoon Tea' and bought it for a very affordable price of £6.99. After searching for this lip gloss for a ridiculous amount of time, you can imagine how high my expectations were.

I will start off by saying that the packaging on this product is truly stunning! Not only is it beautiful but it is incredibly practical. It is a compact size (7.5ml) super easy to fit into a little makeup bag for school.
It closes tightly, so there is no possibility of leakage.
The gold lid adds a little bit of class and sophistication to the product.

However, it's no good buying a product that looks pretty and is a useful size. So, let's get down to the nitty gritty details, shall we?

The applicator is amazing quality. It's very soft and bendy making it so easy to apply the lipgloss comfortably.

Although, the quality of the lip gloss is not the best (can I just say this is hard for me to write as I really love Tanya) it is a little sticky and we all know that a sticky lip gloss on a windy day, well it's an absolute nightmare!

The actual lipgloss is very, very thick, so much so, that it feels like one of those cheap lip glosses you get in those magazines for younger girls. The only way I can describe it is by saying that it almost feels rubbery once it is on. I haven't been able to wear this lipgloss for a whole day without wiping it off half way through because it has felt so unbearable.

However, the smell and taste of the lipgloss is rather lovely. It taste like a collection of summery fruits, yummy!

So, would I buy another lipgloss? My honest answer, no, which is upsetting as I spent so long searching for this gloss. I just can't stand that sticky, thick feeling! It feels like an extra layer of lip and I have all the lips I need, thank you! Haha!
I don't think I could bring myself to wear this over my other lip glosses no matter how pretty the colour is! I will stick with my Laura Mercier lip glosses for now! Sorry Tan!

Rating : 2/5

I hope this blog post was useful to you! I know it is very long, sorry! If you have any other products you would like me to review then just let me know, my details are all on the contact page.
That's it for this post!

My Blog

Hello there!

Well, I guess today is the day that I finally start a blog. After having a blogger account for three years, reading other fashion, advice, beauty blogs, and contemplating whether to start my own, today is the day that I actually start my blog.

So, this is my very incy wincy corner of the internet.

Where do I start?
Maybe I should start by telling you all (those of you who are actually reading this) why I have started a blog and why it has taken me so long.

Okay, I've always wanted to express my feelings, share my interests. The only problem is I tend to bottle up all my feelings and not really tell anyone about them.
Why do I do that? Honestly, I don't know.
So, I started to write in an ever so beautiful diary... that lasted a week.
A year later, I started another diary... that lasted a month.
I was getting nowhere.
Then, not so long ago, I stumbled across a platform called youtube. I was fascinated by it and started my own channel.
I told all my friends about it, so once again I was still bottling all my feelings up.

I don't want to bottle up my feelings anymore. I want to get all my feelings out of a never ending 'Mary Poppins' bag.

I have always loved writing and so I thought it was about time, I stopped being scared about sharing my thoughts, giving my opinions and on Friday the 6th of May, I created my blog 'KatyTallulah'.
But this time round, I'm not telling anyone, this is a place where I can be true and if someone I know happens to stumble across my blog in the not too distant future then I guess I will just deal with it then...
but right now, this blog is secret, but not anonymous.

KatyTallulah is a place of happiness. A place where I share my beauty favourites, fashion bits and bobs that I have been loving, and other serious topics, like, how to cope in stressful times...
but this blog isn't just for me, it's for all of you as well, feel free to interact and comment your opinions as well!
It's one big sleepover!

I'm going to think of this as my blank canvas, and every blog post, comment, read, is a little dot of paint.

Well, either I'm going to look back at this blog post and smile, or I am going to look back and think 'God, Katy, why are you so cheesy, you ain't a margherita pizza!', oh god, I'm already cringing!
That's one thing you will have to put up with if you read my blog... cheesiness!

Toodlepip,
xoxo
